SAKURA (桜) "the cherry blossom" it is a symbol of mono no aware (物の哀れ): the tender sadness in the impermanence of things. To see sakura petals fall is to feel life’s delicate truth, that everything beautiful must pass, and that is what makes it sacred. This 925 earring studs were designed using Mitsuro, an ancient Japanese lost wax casting method for creating sculptures and jewelry with unique, organic textures that mimic natural forms like flowing wood grain.
